About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage Workday tenant configuration, business processes, and system settings
- Lead Workday updates, releases, and system enhancements
- Maintain documentation, configuration guides, and training materials
- Evaluate and implement new Workday features
- Serve as the technical escalation point for complex Workday issues
- Train and enable Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams
- Manage ticket queues and resolve challenging system problems
- Lead the Workday change control committee with HR, Finance, and IS stakeholders
- Facilitate decisions for system changes and enhancements
- Communicate updates, secure approvals, and implement changes with organizational impact
- Promote adoption and effective communication of Workday changes
- Manage vendor relationships and third-party support
- Partner with the implementation vendor, HR, Finance, and IS leadership
- Support over 2,000 users across multiple business units
- Manage integrations, reporting, and system security at scale
- Plan and manage system upgrades and go-lives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s in Information Systems, Information Technologies, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field with equivalent experience
- Proficient in troubleshooting, tier-3 support, report building, and system documentation
- 7+ years of hands-on Workday administration experience
- Experience with Workday tenant management, business processes, security roles and access control, integrations (EIB, Core Connect, APIs, Workday Studio), reporting, and release management
- Experience with cloud platforms, enterprise integrations, Microsoft Office 365, and data reporting/analytics tools (Prism, calculated fields, dashboards)
- Willingness to pursue Workday certifications and stay current on best practices
- Experience managing integrations with third-party systems, Workday security management, identity and access management systems, and IT security best practices
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, data privacy, disaster recovery, and compliance
- Experience with application administration, integrations/interface management, leading committees, and supporting system implementations
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to plan and manage system upgrades and go-lives while juggling multiple priorities and deadlines
- Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical users and present to internal audiences
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis; no visa sponsorship now or in the future
