About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own and manage the Workday tenant configuration, business processes, and system settings
  • Lead Workday updates, releases, and system enhancements
  • Maintain configuration guides, documentation, and training materials
  • Evaluate and implement new Workday features
  • Serve as the technical escalation point for complex Workday issues
  • Train and enable Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams
  • Manage ticket queues and resolve challenging system problems
  • Lead the Workday change control committee with HR, Finance, and IS stakeholders
  • Facilitate decisions regarding system changes and enhancements
  • Communicate updates, obtain approvals, and implement changes with organizational impact
  • Promote adoption and effective communication of Workday changes
  • Manage vendor relationships and third-party support
  • Plan and manage system upgrades and go-lives
  • Support more than 2,000 users across multiple business units
  • Manage Workday integrations, reporting, and system security at scale
  • Partner with the implementation vendor, HR, Finance, and IS leadership to ensure a successful launch and ongoing operational excellence

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technologies, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field with equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of hands-on Workday administration experience
  • Experience with Workday tenant management, business processes, security roles and access control, integrations (EIB, Core Connect, APIs, Workday Studio), reporting, and release management
  • Proficient in troubleshooting, Tier 3 support, report building, and system documentation
  • Experience with cloud platforms and enterprise integrations
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365
  • Experience with data reporting and analytics tools, including Prism, calculated fields, and dashboards
  • Willingness to pursue Workday certifications; training provided
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis
  • Must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future
  • Preferred: experience managing third-party system integrations, Workday security, identity and access management systems, and IT security best practices
  • Preferred: Workday certifications in HCM, Finance, or Security; additional Workday security or reporting certifications; CompTIA A+ or other IT certifications
  • Preferred: application administration, integrations/interface management, committee leadership, and system implementation support
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity, data privacy, disaster recovery, and compliance
  • Ability to manage complex, multi-unit environments
  • Ability to plan and manage system upgrades and go-lives
  • Strong documentation and attention to detail
  • Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical users
  • Ability to present to internal audiences and build relationships across HR, Finance, and IT
  • Ability to adapt to system updates, process changes, and evolving organizational needs
