About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage Workday tenant configuration, business processes, and system settings
  • Lead Workday updates, releases, and system enhancements
  • Maintain documentation, configuration guides, and training materials
  • Evaluate and implement new Workday features
  • Serve as the technical escalation point for complex Workday issues
  • Train and enable Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams
  • Manage ticket queues and resolve challenging system problems
  • Lead the Workday change control committee with HR, Finance, and IS stakeholders
  • Facilitate decisions for system changes and enhancements
  • Communicate updates, secure approvals, and implement changes with organizational impact
  • Promote adoption and effective communication of Workday changes
  • Manage vendor relationships and third-party support
  • Partner with the implementation vendor, HR, Finance, and IS leadership
  • Plan and manage system upgrades and go-lives
  • Support over 2,000 users across multiple business units
  • Manage integrations, reporting, and system security at scale

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technologies, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field with equivalent experience
  • Proficient in troubleshooting, Tier 3 support, report building, and system documentation
  • 7+ years of hands-on Workday administration experience
  • Experience with Workday tenant management, business processes, security roles and access control, integrations (EIB, Core Connect, APIs, Workday Studio), reporting, and release management
  • Experience with cloud platforms, enterprise integrations, Microsoft Office 365, and data reporting/analytics tools (Prism, calculated fields, dashboards)
  • Willingness to pursue Workday certifications and stay current on best practices
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis
  • No visa sponsorship available now or in the future
  • Experience managing integrations with third-party systems
  • Experience with Workday security management and identity and access management systems
  • Understanding of IT security best practices
  • Workday certifications in HCM, Finance, or Security are nice to have
  • Additional Workday security or reporting certifications are nice to have
  • CompTIA A+ or other IT certifications are nice to have
  • Experience in application administration, integrations/interface management, leading committees, and supporting system implementations
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity, data privacy, disaster recovery, and compliance
  • Ability to support complex, multi-unit environments
  • Ability to plan and manage system upgrades and go-lives
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical users and present to internal audiences
