About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver annual revenue and profitability targets across assigned bioprocessing and pharmaceutical accounts
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans, including quarterly and annual growth objectives
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities within biotech, biopharma, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and life sciences markets
  • Build relationships with stakeholders across Procurement, Manufacturing, Process Development, Quality, Engineering, Operations, and R&D
  • Lead commercial negotiations including contracts, pricing, and long-term supply agreements
  • Partner with Technical Service, Application Development, Marketing, R&D, and Customer Service teams to drive customer success
  • Maintain accurate customer, pipeline, and opportunity information within Salesforce
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by connecting customer process challenges with DuPont purification and separation technologies
  • Travel up to 50% and manage customer relationships across North America

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven success in strategic account management and business development within bioprocessing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, biotechnology, or life sciences
  • Strong ability to build and maintain relationships across technical and commercial customer organizations
  • Demonstrated understanding of regulated manufacturing environments and customer decision-making processes
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to identify opportunities and develop account growth strategies
  • Experience managing sales pipelines, forecasting, and account planning within Salesforce or a comparable CRM platform
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences, Business, or a related discipline; equivalent industry experience will be considered
  • Minimum 7 years of sales, account management, or business development experience within pharmaceutical, bioprocessing, biotechnology, or related life sciences industries
  • Experience selling to technical, quality, operations, engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and R&D stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to grow strategic accounts and develop new business opportunities
  • Must reside in the Greater Boston, Massachusetts area or North Carolina
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%
  • Experience with ion exchange resins, reverse osmosis, chromatography, filtration and membrane technologies, purification solutions, Water for Injection, process water systems, downstream bioprocessing applications, and pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturing processes
