About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases for web-based applications
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright, Selenium, or similar frameworks
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, integration, and exploratory testing
- Improve test automation coverage and testing efficiency
- Investigate test failures and collaborate with developers to resolve issues
- Perform API testing using Postman or similar tools
- Verify API responses, authentication, error handling, and data accuracy
- Maintain API test collections and document testing results
- Identify, report, track, and retest defects throughout the software development lifecycle
- Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Prepare test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and testing documentation
- Participate in Agile/Scrum activities, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives
- Review requirements and acceptance criteria with Product Managers, Developers, and Senior QA Engineers
- Identify quality risks and edge cases early using a Shift-Left testing approach
- Provide updates on testing progress, defect status, and release readiness
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, testing standards, and automation practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- Hands-on experience in API testing using Postman or similar tools, including validating API responses, authentication, and error handling
- Practical experience developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts using Playwright, Selenium, or similar automation frameworks
- Experience supporting SIT/UAT, managing defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment
- 3+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, covering both manual and automated testing
- Good understanding of software testing methodologies, the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
- Ability to develop and execute test cases independently, investigate defects, and document findings clearly
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced development environment
