About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Follow safe work practices and company and client worksite safety policies and procedures
  • Promote E2 Optics' Core Values and foster a collaborative, accountable, family-centric culture
  • Provide leadership and operational oversight for the audit program across assigned Strategic Accounts projects and locations
  • Partner with Production, Project Management, QA/QC, Training, and site leadership to develop and execute audit plans supporting project milestones and turnover schedules
  • Establish audit operating structure, responsibilities, workflows, communication expectations, and escalation paths
  • Coordinate auditor staffing and resource allocation based on project priorities, workload, schedules, ticket volume, and auditor competency
  • Assign auditors based on experience, qualifications, productivity, and technical competency
  • Oversee audit ticket distribution and balance workloads
  • Monitor ticket volume, aging, closure rates, productivity, and audit performance to identify bottlenecks and support needs
  • Drive timely ticket closeout and coordinate corrective action with Production and project leadership
  • Develop and maintain audit metrics, dashboards, and reports covering audit progress, ticket closure, backlog, productivity, and project risk
  • Establish auditor performance expectations for productivity, accuracy, documentation quality, and ticket closure
  • Identify audit-finding trends and communicate recurring deficiencies to QA/QC and Production leadership
  • Support First Time Right initiatives using audit data to identify repeat failures, installation trends, training gaps, and process improvements
  • Partner with Training and QA/QC leadership to develop a pipeline of qualified auditors
  • Establish auditor qualification requirements, competency assessments, field verification, mentoring, and ongoing development
  • Verify new auditors' technical knowledge and field competency before independent authorization
  • Coach and mentor auditors, leads, supervisors, and other audit-process personnel
  • Standardize audit methods, documentation, ticket classifications, troubleshooting, and closeout expectations
  • Ensure audit documentation is accurate, complete, professional, and compliant with company and customer requirements
  • Verify findings identify deficiencies, locations, responsible scope, root cause when applicable, corrective action, and resolution
  • Incorporate customer quality requirements, specifications, SOPs, and lessons learned into the audit process
  • Participate in project planning, turnover, quality, and operational meetings
  • Communicate audit risks, staffing concerns, backlogs, recurring deficiencies, and schedule impacts to leadership
  • Support incident reviews, root cause analysis, corrective action plans, and lessons learned
  • Maintain field presence and verify consistent audit execution across projects and shifts
  • Promote collaboration between QA/QC and Production
  • Implement process improvements to increase audit efficiency, ticket closure, First Pass Yield, First Time Right performance, and project quality
  • Support continuous improvement of audit tools, reporting, workflows, and technology
  • Travel between project locations to support audit operations, training, recovery, customer priorities, and program needs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to audit completion against project schedule and turnover milestones
  • Ability to monitor ticket closure rate and backlog reduction
  • Ability to monitor ticket aging
  • Ability to assess auditor productivity and utilization
  • Ability to ensure accuracy and quality of audit documentation
  • Ability to support First Pass Yield and First Time Right performance
  • Ability to reduce repeat deficiencies
  • Ability to support auditor qualification and development
  • Ability to ensure consistency of audit execution across sites
  • Ability to identify and escalate project quality risks in a timely manner
  • Ability to collaborate with QA/QC, Production, and Project Management
  • Ability to support successful project closeout and customer turnover
  • Ability to work in indoor business office and construction environments
  • Ability to regularly lift or move up to 40 pounds and frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to regularly carry and climb ladders up to 20 feet
  • Ability to operate scissor lifts, telehandlers, boom lifts, and UTVs if required
  • Ability to work in tight and confined spaces
  • Ability to travel between project locations as required
