About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Follow safe work practices and company and client worksite safety policies
- Establish and lead a standardized logistics program across hyperscale sites
- Develop scalable logistics strategies for multi-region, multi-client growth
- Lead Regional Logistics Managers and ensure consistent execution, reporting, and performance
- Establish logistics as a critical-path function supporting project execution and schedule certainty
- Manage the full lifecycle of materials, including forecasting, procurement coordination, delivery scheduling, receiving, verification, documentation, storage, staging, and distribution
- Implement standardized processes for material tracking, transmittals, delivery documentation, chain of custody, and material accountability
- Align material readiness with project schedules and eliminate material-related delays and inefficiencies
- Manage damaged, defective, and non-conforming materials from identification through resolution
- Lead RMA processes and ensure timely resolution
- Liaise with manufacturers, distributors, and vendors to expedite replacements or credits and resolve warranty and quality issues
- Coordinate material substitutions with engineering, QA, and field teams
- Communicate material issues, impacts, replacement timelines, substitutions, and execution plans to clients, field teams, and leadership
- Track and report RMA cycle times, material damage trends, and substitution impacts on schedule and cost
- Identify root causes of material damage or failure and implement preventative measures
- Define roles and responsibilities for site logistics teams
- Ensure organized, safe, auditable storage areas and accurate inventory records
- Standardize receiving, staging, kitting, and delivery-to-install workflows
- Conduct regular site audits
- Maintain centralized tracking for material status, delivery schedules, constraints, and inventory levels
- Ensure consistent use of Smartsheet, Excel, ACC, or similar tools
- Report material readiness, risks, delivery performance, and inventory variances to leadership and clients
- Use data to drive vendor accountability, procurement improvements, and reduced material loss and delays
- Oversee delivery vendors, freight providers, distributors, and manufacturers
- Evaluate and implement regional warehouse strategies
- Support contract negotiations focused on cost efficiency, reliability, and scalability
- Integrate logistics with operations, procurement, supply chain, project controls, scheduling, quality, and safety teams
- Integrate logistics into project schedules, installation readiness planning, and risk mitigation
- Recruit, onboard, coach, and develop logistics teams across regions
- Establish performance metrics, accountability structures, succession planning, and leadership development
- Foster continuous improvement, ownership, and teamwork
- Ensure compliance with E2 Optics and client-specific safety requirements
- Promote safe material handling, storage, and transportation
- Travel 20%–50% to support site operations and program alignment
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or equivalent experience
- OSHA 10 required
- OSHA 30 preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in logistics management, ideally within hyperscale data center settings
- Proficient leadership capabilities and experience fostering and guiding high-performing teams
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Track record in warehouse site selection and vendor oversight
- Knowledge of industry standards and emerging logistics trends
- Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and collaboration skills
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to engage effectively with employees, management, customers, vendors, contractors, and others
