About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Follow safe work practices and company and client worksite safety policies and procedures
- Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6, including logic, sequencing, progress updates, and reporting
- Prepare lookaheads, identify schedule risks, and recommend mitigation strategies
- Assist in baseline development and change order/time impact review processes
- Prepare internal and client-facing status reports communicating critical path, constraints, and variances
- Align schedule updates, resource planning, and earned value reporting with project teams
- Provide visual reporting through dashboards, charts, or analytics tools
- Support risk identification sessions and maintain project-level risk registers
- Coach junior project controls team members when needed
- Identify schedule issues early and flag them for project leadership
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED required
- BS or AA in Accounting, Finance, Business, Engineering, or related Professional Experience
- Scheduling Certification is strongly preferred: Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP) or Project Management Professional (PMP)
- 5+ years of experience creating and maintaining project schedules using Primavera P6
- Experience updating schedules, analyzing critical paths, and communicating schedule impacts
- Deep understanding of baseline management, schedule change management, and time impact analysis
- Ability to manage multiple projects or phases in a fast-paced environment
- Working knowledge of project controls concepts (progress measurement, reporting, EV basics)
- Proficiency in MS Excel, reporting tools, and general Microsoft Office applications
- Experience in commercial construction, industrial, or manufacturing environments preferred
- Experience with Procore, Oracle platforms, or Agile Construction concepts is a plus, not a must-have
- Ability and willingness to travel as required by E2 Optics and/or the project
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Must regularly carry and climb ladders to 20 feet
- Must be able to operate equipment such as scissor lifts, telehandlers, boom lifts, and UTVs if required
- May be required to work in tight and confined spaces
