About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Evaluate and determine products and features to build and deliver to customers
  • Build, align, and motivate cross-functional teams around customer pain points and solutions
  • Articulate product strategy and vision across the enterprise and multiple products
  • Incorporate customer feedback into product insights, design, and services
  • Collaborate with marketing, research, analytics, design, development, engineering, architecture, and integration support teams
  • Develop innovative, value-added solutions using market, industry, technical, and customer insights
  • Oversee integration of risk and security controls and ensure compliance with laws and regulations
  • Define product requirements and groom user stories
  • Work directly with technologists and motivate technical teams and partners
  • For API roles: develop product specifications and user stories for developer-friendly APIs
  • Serve as primary point of contact for API-related inquiries and support
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies
  • Facilitate API training and adoption among users and developers
  • For Developer Portal & Tools: own developer-facing documentation quality, editorial standards, governance, and unified documentation strategy
  • Lead documentation platform evolution, manage vendor relationships, and incorporate developer-focused features
  • Integrate modern tooling into the documentation portal and streamline the developer journey
  • Define metrics to improve onboarding, adoption, and developer satisfaction

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent educational/experience background, typically obtained through completion of a bachelor's degree
  • 12 or more years of related work experience OR post-secondary degree and at least 8 years of related work experience
  • Demonstrated experience in design thinking and agile development process and methodology
  • Demonstrated leadership and cross-functional collaboration experience
  • Proven experience in building and delivering products
  • Demonstrated experience setting product strategy and roadmaps and meeting product revenue targets
  • Excellent listening and execution skills
  • Background and drug screen
  • For API roles: experience building product strategy and roadmaps for API offerings
  • Understanding of OpenAPI specifications
  • For API roles: experience setting product strategy, roadmaps, and revenue targets for API products
  • Preferred: prior experience building APIs in a product management role
  • Preferred: engineering, architecture, or software solutions background focused on APIs
  • For Developer Portal & Tools: experience with documentation quality and governance, documentation platforms, developer-focused tooling, API/SDK ecosystems, metrics, onboarding, adoption, and satisfaction
  • Preferred: Master's degree
  • Preferred: certifications in design thinking and/or agile
  • Preferred: experience in payments, financial services, or a similar regulated industry
  • Preferred: people management experience
  • Must independently possess eligibility to work in the United States for any employer at date of hire
