About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop trusted, influential relationships with executives and key decision-makers across Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover
  • Build and lead the strategic accounts team, including recruiting and developing talent, assigning account ownership, setting priorities, and establishing scalable operating models
  • Own the strategy, health, and growth of payment network accounts
  • Maintain knowledge of partner structures, decision-making processes, performance, strategic initiatives, products, services, and broader relationships
  • Define and manage strategic account plans with annual, quarterly, and monthly priorities
  • Coordinate with Paze cross-functional teams and senior leadership to align partners and ensure execution
  • Drive Paze KPIs, manage partner scorecards and best practices, and provide actionable analysis and recommendations
  • Bring payment network and market perspectives into Paze to shape product-market fit and influence product strategy
  • Support financial analysis, long-range forecasting, and analytics for payment network partnerships
  • Identify and advance business development and innovation opportunities that expand capabilities, increase adoption, and drive transaction growth
  • Monitor competitive activity and develop strategies to prioritize Paze over competing investments
  • Support effective risk management and protect the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field
  • Typically, 15+ years in progressive partner-management roles, such as business development, relationship management, and/or consulting
  • 8+ years of experience working on financial services products, including payments
  • Experience managing complex strategic accounts with multiple decision makers
  • Proven ability to develop and foster impactful relationships with senior leadership
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills to build strong internal and external relationships
  • Track record of driving change and accomplishing strategic objectives within partner organizations
  • Consultative, conceptual, and strategic selling skills
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to sell concepts internally and drive streamlined decision-making across partners
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including recruiting, mentoring, developing, and motivating team members
  • Executive communication skills, including coordinating and running impactful meetings, strong written communication, presentation skills, and active listening
  • Strong analytical skills with quantitative and qualitative opportunity evaluation and performance tracking
  • Ability to deliver results in a dynamic new-venture environment
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
  • Background check and drug screen
  • Experience at a payment network, card issuing bank, or established payments fintech preferred
  • Deep payments expertise in digital wallets, tokenization, eCommerce, and NFC payments preferred
  • Product development experience and passion for consumer financial products preferred
  • MBA preferred
