About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and manage strategic partnerships with big tech and leading AI companies
- Expand Paze acceptance across digital commerce and position Paze for agentic commerce
- Develop partner strategy for priority partnerships and build relationships with senior decision-makers
- Identify, advance, negotiate, and launch strategic partnership opportunities
- Align digital partners, payment networks, issuers, EWS owner banks, and internal stakeholders around capabilities, commercial opportunities, risk, and operating requirements
- Serve as a voice of partners and the market to inform Paze partnership priorities and product decisions
- Own priority partnership opportunities and maintain knowledge of partner structures, strategies, business models, roadmaps, and competitive environments
- Identify, recruit, launch, and grow strategic partnerships
- Develop partnership and account plans with cross-functional teams and senior leadership
- Build and advance a strategic business development pipeline
- Leverage EWS owner-bank relationships to identify and advance strategic pursuits
- Coordinate complex, multiparty opportunities across Paze and the payments ecosystem
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Operations, Risk, Legal, Finance, Marketing, and other functions
- Own opportunities through opportunity development, business-case creation, commercial and financial analysis, negotiation, contracting, launch coordination, and ongoing relationship development
- Drive partnership KPIs including pipeline development, conversion, acceptance capabilities, adoption, customer experience, and transaction growth
- Evaluate partnership, market, competitive, digital-commerce, and agentic-commerce trends and provide recommendations to management
- Monitor competitors and industry developments
- Provide leadership and subject-matter expertise to colleagues
- Support effective risk management and protect system and data integrity and confidentiality
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field
- 12+ years of experience or demonstrated portfolio consistent with experience required of the role
- Experience in partnership management, business development, relationship management, strategic accounts, and/or consulting
- 4+ years working with or, ideally for, big tech, fintech, and/or AI companies on financial services or payments products
- Experience managing complex strategic accounts or business development opportunities involving multiple decision-makers, stakeholders, and workstreams
- Proven ability to develop and foster impactful relationships with senior leaders and key external decision-makers
- Track record of driving change and accomplishing strategic objectives within partner organizations
- Consultative, conceptual, and strategic selling skills
- Strong influencing capabilities and ability to build alignment around complex concepts internally and externally
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including leading complex initiatives, influencing cross-functional teams, mentoring colleagues, and driving results through others
- Executive communication skills, including leading impactful meetings, developing clear written communications and presentations, and communicating effectively with senior stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills, including evaluating opportunities, developing business cases, and assessing partnership performance
- Ability to operate effectively and deliver results within a dynamic, growing business
- Ability to travel up to 30%

- Preferred: deep payments expertise, including digital wallets, tokenization, eCommerce, and NFC payments
- Preferred: experience with AI-enabled/agentic commerce or identity partnerships
- Preferred: established relationships at key big tech or AI companies
- Preferred: experience launching partnership constructs involving multiple payments ecosystem participants
- Preferred: product development experience and understanding of consumer financial products and digital commerce experiences
- MBA preferred
