About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support residents to live safely and independently within their own homes.
- Visit people at home in the community.
- Work collaboratively across health and social care.
- Deliver practical solutions that make a real difference to people’s lives.
- Assess adults and carers under the Care Act 2014.
- Manage risk and safeguarding.
- Address moving and handling needs.
- Provide reablement support.
- Strengthen partnerships, particularly with health services.
- Attend in-person interviews in Bexhill at The Charter Centre.
Requirements
What you’ll need- An Occupational Therapy qualification and registration with the professional regulatory body.
- Communication skills including report writing and liaising with members of the public, managers, and other agencies.
- Ability to plan and organise a varied workload, working to short deadlines within community and clinic settings.
- Experience of operating under pressure where demand is constant and priorities need to be set or reviewed.
- Ability to use initiative and take responsibility.
- Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity.
- Evidence of an overseas police check if the candidate has lived or worked abroad.
- CV and Supporting Statement addressing the person specification criteria.
