About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop a portfolio of customers, prospects, and Centers of Influence through networking and other business development efforts
  • Sell bank products to new and existing customers
  • Partner with assigned branches for cross-sale opportunities and customer relationship management
  • Manage external relationships with key Community Partners to leverage programs, tools, and resources that help business banking customers grow and improve profitability
  • Source, evaluate, and recommend new business banking opportunities for loan and deposit relationships, including C&I and CRE relationships
  • Manage a portfolio of business banking clients to minimize bank risk, cross-sell to the book of business, and create a positive customer experience
  • Coordinate calling and relationship management activities with commercial, investments, treasury, retail, and insurance partners
  • Conduct preliminary underwriting and structure credit requests
  • Maintain the internal Bank contact management system, including full history

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and related experience required
  • Five-to-eight years of sales and management experience
  • Basic understanding of commercial businesses and banking
  • Basic knowledge of credit
  • Prior credit training and sales training
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong sales skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to utilize the full range of prospecting sales activities
  • Technologically proficient
  • Ability to attend networking and other events outside customary business hours
  • Self-starter able to self-generate sales prospects and pipeline
