About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Analyze the bank's deposit portfolio, customers, and market data to inform strategies to grow and optimize the bank
Address critical strategic deposit initiatives with substantial impact on company earnings
Build and maintain analytics and reporting dashboards for deposit portfolio performance, including sales, attrition, and special topics
Keep key stakeholders, including senior management, updated on business performance
Assist in preparing materials for key deposit committees
Create deep analytical insights using statistical and other data analysis methodologies
Answer critical business questions proactively and as requested
Develop new models to optimize the deposit portfolio
Participate in larger bank analytics initiatives
Build and/or support business cases for deposit initiatives, including new products, business-line initiatives, operational enhancements, and pricing
Support data enhancement initiatives by working with the Data Management team on new variables, table structures, and external data needs
Collaborate with Data Management, Finance, Retail Administration, Marketing, Technology, Treasury, and external vendors

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of training and experience
6+ years experience in analytics; financial services, especially banking, is a plus
Strong analytical/statistical skill and knowledge
Experience creating dashboards using tools like PowerBI
Experience creating insightful analytics and proactively addressing areas for improvement or needing insight
Strong skills with analytics and data tools such as SQL, R, PowerBI, and Excel
High degree of organization, ability to prioritize, and flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and direction
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally based on solid understanding of the business
Experience utilizing data to infer trends and insights into decision making
Experience integrating and managing large data sets from various sources
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Successful track record collaborating with internal and external teams
Ability to gain buy-in across functions or the organization
Deep understanding of key revenue and expense drivers
Ability to model and track financial goals and targets and develop business models and pro-forma financials
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to make independent decisions related to analytics and strategy
