About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Study how work gets done inside Boyd Thermal and identify inefficiency and variation in operational and transactional processes
- Map end-to-end business processes across transactional and operational value streams at the site and desk level
- Use process and task mining to analyze cycle time, variants, handoffs, rework, and wait states
- Quantify current-state costs and rank opportunities by value, feasibility, and speed to proof
- Challenge existing process premises and design target-state processes around business outcomes
- Align Boyd processes to Eaton’s six value streams: record-to-report, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, hire-to-retire, idea to realization, and plan-to-perform
- Sequence standardization before automation and apply artificial intelligence, agents, and analytics where appropriate
- Lead process changes through adoption, including coalition building, decision-making, funding, documentation, training, and post-go-live measurement
- Work with integration workstream leaders to embed process redesign in the Transition Services Agreement exit
- Run bounded pilots of new tools, agents, and process patterns in Boyd
- Capture pilot evidence and package proven capabilities for adoption across Eaton
- Partner with Eaton Transactional System, data and artificial intelligence, and Global Process Owner teams
- Build and maintain an internal and external network of expertise
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years driving process improvement and process transformation
- Substantial depth in transactional and corporate functions, including finance, legal, communications, HR, procurement, and shared services
- Experience with enterprise- or multi-function-scale programs, not primarily manufacturing or shop-floor
- Demonstrated mastery of DMAIC and DMADV/DFSS, applied to real projects with documented, validated results
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt required; Master Black Belt strongly preferred
- Track record of certifying and coaching other practitioners
- Strong analytical and data skills, including building baselines, analyzing variation, and proving results with data
- Fluency in value stream mapping, SIPOC, swim-lane, and process capability analysis
- Experience setting enterprise process standards or operating models across functions and regions
- Hands-on exposure to automation and AI on transactional work, including agentic AI, RPA, and/or process mining such as Celonis or UiPath
- Executive-level influence with VP- and C-suite functional leaders, driving enterprise change without formal authority
- Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
- Experience improving knowledge-work and back-office processes preferred
- Formal change management capability such as Prosci/ADKAR or equivalent preferred
- Experience establishing a Center of Excellence, shared-services, or transformation office preferred
- Familiarity with modern data platforms and human-in-the-loop AI agents for enterprise workflows preferred
- Ability to build and maintain a network of expertise in and outside of Eaton
