About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own production reliability for the APAC region by monitoring systems, triaging alerts, coordinating incident response, and serving as an engineering reference for merchants and partners across Southeast Asia
  • Investigate and troubleshoot complex production issues across distributed systems and payment-partner integrations
  • Support onboarding, go-live, and stabilization of new payment integrations and APAC market expansions
  • Participate in market and product launches from integration through production readiness
  • Implement hotfixes for critical production issues and conduct root cause analyses
  • Improve observability through dashboards, alerts, and runbooks using Datadog and OpenSearch
  • Contribute to incident response playbooks, on-call processes, deployment standards, and operating practices for the Singapore Engineering Hub
  • Identify and mitigate systemic production risks through code reviews, post-mortems, and proactive reliability improvements
  • Collaborate with engineering teams in Brazil on knowledge transfer, consistent practices, and cross-time-zone alignment
  • Work with MacOS, GitHub Enterprise, Datadog, OpenSearch, Claude, and Devin.ai

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Hands-on experience in production engineering, DevOps, or site reliability engineering, including ownership of production services
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across distributed systems in high-availability, high-throughput environments
  • Experience with monitoring, alerting, log analysis, and tracing
  • Practical experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS
  • Experience in CI/CD-driven environments, deployment reliability, and automation
  • Use of AI tools for code reviews, incident investigation, or intelligent alerting
  • Background in fintech, payments, or financial services infrastructure is a plus
  • Familiarity with PSPs, acquirers, or local payment rails is a plus
  • Experience using Claude or Devin for operational code and automation is a plus
  • Experience with anomaly detection, automated runbook generation, or intelligent alert correlation is a plus
  • Programming experience in Java, Elixir, or PHP is a plus
