About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide on-site field service support for complex CMP capital equipment in a cleanroom environment
- Install, upgrade, repair and maintain CMP systems at customer sites
- Analyze, diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues on CMP semiconductor manufacturing equipment
- Work day and night shifts
- Implement factory-issued hardware and software upgrades
- Read and use technical drawings, electrical schematics and P&ID drawings to resolve complex system issues
- Manage and control spare parts supplied to customers for the CMP Systems business
- Maintain an assigned installation equipment base
- Report weekly to onsite customers and local management on system performance and ongoing activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Higher Certificate/Apprenticeship (NFQ level 6) in a technical field with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a HVM environment, or an Ordinary Bachelor’s Degree (NFQ level 7) in a technical field with a minimum of 1 year experience
- Extensive experience in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical and software (PLC) systems is desirable
- Ability to demonstrate clearly and effectively the delivery of clear and concise information to internal and external customers
- Eligible to live and work in Ireland
- Proactive, highly motivated and self-starter attitude
- Ability to work without direct instruction or supervision and take ownership of tasks
- Ability to work alone and within a team environment
- Ability to complete projects and assignments within a customer-defined schedule
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions and execute them with professional workmanship and high attention to detail
- Willingness to work shifts, including nights and weekends
- Must be based in Ireland
- Willingness to travel internationally for training purposes as required
