About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure compliance with occupational health, workplace safety, and environmental management programs and procedures
- Work closely with operational teams, leadership, and regulatory authorities
- Develop, implement, and monitor occupational health and safety programs/processes (PGR, PCMSO, LTCAT, etc.)
- Update programs in accordance with current legislation and applicable regulatory standards
- Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments (JSA, work permits), and periodic audits
- Propose and monitor action plans to eliminate or mitigate risks
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, preparing root cause analysis reports
- Monitor corrective and preventive actions
- Lead and/or support onboarding, regulatory standards, and specialized HSE training for employees and contractors
- Develop and monitor HSE indicators, consolidating data and preparing periodic management reports
- Monitor environmental licensing, waste disposal, effluent/emissions control, and environmental permit conditions
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory HSE requirements
- Manage PPE controls and distribution, contractor management, and work permits
- Work at Ecogen Brasil’s operational and administrative facilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
- Postgraduate degree/MBA in Occupational Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field — preferred
- Basic English — preferred
