About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a subject matter expert for closed loop systems
- Provide practical technical leadership across customer applications, internal projects, and innovation programs
- Troubleshoot complex closed loop and thermal management challenges
- Train technical audiences and provide recommendations for customers, sales teams, account managers, R&D, and marketing stakeholders
- Support business growth, drive innovation, and transfer technical knowledge
- Collaborate with field sales and corporate account teams on strategic technical sales opportunities
- Support direct-to-chip liquid cooling applications, including commissioning, cold plates, cooling distribution units, secondary loops, and infrastructure interfaces
- Understand client requirements and recommend treatment and operational solutions
- Provide training and support for proper system use and optimization
- Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts at customer sites
- Assess water treatment programs and recommend and quantify operational efficiency improvements in documented reports
- Collaborate with R&D and Marketing on innovation projects from ideation to launch
- Complete Phase Gate milestones, including refining value propositions, defining operational savings, creating technical documentation, and educating stakeholders
- Lead innovation pilot applications, technical trials, and market trials
- Facilitate training for associates and customers
- Coach organizational personnel on processes, applications, technologies, and value documentation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Demonstrable technical expertise in closed loop systems, water treatment, thermal management, process engineering, HVAC, industrial cooling, data center infrastructure, or adjacent technical fields
- Ability to apply technical principles across chemistry, materials compatibility, fluid selection, heat transfer, automation, digital monitoring, equipment, and engineered solutions
- Excellent communication, consultation, coaching, and mentoring skills
- Solution-oriented, problem-solving mindset
- Willing and able to travel throughout Europe to customer sites
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science (Chemistry or Microbiology) preferred
- 5+ years of experience in closed loop water treatment, glycol-based systems, thermal management, data center infrastructure, direct-to-chip liquid cooling, or adjacent cooling and heat transfer applications
- Strong problem-solving mindset and approach
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Self-motivated, proactive, result-oriented professional able to work with minimum direction
- Excellent team orientation, proactivity, and sense of urgency
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
- English CV required; only applications submitted in English will be considered
- 50% or more overnight travel required
