About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Participate in a 5-week paid training program covering pest detection, elimination, and prevention techniques
Establish working relationships with commercial customers, including hospitality and foodservice customers
Partner with customers on best practices to identify and solve pest elimination needs
Maintain expertise in Ecolab’s product and service offerings to enhance service and sales
Use handheld computerized equipment to document structural, sanitation, and pest issues
Deliver timely, cost-effective, and high-quality service under close supervision
Obtain required pest control licensing and/or certification as mandated by state/local law
Protect public health, food safety, commercial businesses, facilities, employees, and brands from pests
Work independently in a flexible, field-based environment
Travel to Eagan, Minnesota for one week of training
Drive a company vehicle as required

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or equivalent
Two years of work or military experience
Current and valid Driver’s License with no restrictions
Availability to work overnight shifts and be on call during off-hours and weekends as needed
Must be 18 years of age or older
Obtain pest certification and/or business licensing pursuant to state/local law
Background check required for candidates receiving a job offer
Drug test including THC required for candidates receiving a job offer
Immigration sponsorship is not available
Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds chest high
Ability to wear and use a respirator
Ability to work in confined spaces, damp/dusty areas, and extreme temperatures
Ability to climb ladders and perform stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and prolonged standing
Ability to drive a company vehicle; ongoing motor vehicle record checks will be performed
Previous customer service experience preferred
Experience selling value-added products to existing customers preferred
Previous pest elimination industry or route experience preferred
