About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and develop the project team by providing purpose, direction, and motivation
Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment
Identify schedules, scopes, budget estimates, implementation plans, and risk mitigation measures
Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure adherence to scope, schedule, and budget
Analyze project status and revise scope, schedule, or budget when necessary
Establish and maintain relationships with client stakeholders and provide day-to-day contact on project status and changes
Establish and maintain processes for managing scope throughout the project lifecycle
Set quality and performance standards and assess risks
Develop and maintain partnerships with vendors, consultants, erection coordinators, and safety coordinators
Assign and monitor resources to ensure project efficiency and maximize deliverables
Report project outcomes and risks to management and escalate issues as necessary
Track and monitor project performance, ensuring adherence to time, quality, cost, and KPI requirements
Ensure correct handover of information to the MO Team

Requirements

What you’ll need

Master’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering
More than 5 years of experience managing project erection, construction, commissioning, and start-up
Proven experience managing projects involving civil works
Proven experience managing, reviewing, and validating main engineering documents for water treatment plants, including P&ID, PFD, mass balance, piping drawings, isometrics, wiring diagrams, logic diagrams, and control narratives
Proven experience managing and coordinating work groups and resources
Fluent written and verbal English and French
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Awareness of safety and environmental legislation in Europe and CE certification requirements
Awareness of main ISO Quality Assurance requirements
Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project or equivalent
Synthesis and pragmatic approach
Agile mindset for approaching multidisciplinary topics
Strong problem-solving skills
Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines
Proven success working with all levels of management
Professional certification such as PMP or PRINCE2 preferred
