About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze transportation, warehousing, and operational data to identify trends, risks, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
- Build and maintain dashboards, reports, forecasts, and performance scorecards for logistics operations.
- Monitor key performance indicators, including on-time delivery, order cycle time, freight costs, warehouse productivity, inventory accuracy, capacity utilization, claims, and service failures.
- Lead or support continuous-improvement projects focused on service quality, cost reduction, productivity, process standardization, and operational control.
- Evaluate carrier and third-party logistics provider performance; support business reviews, corrective actions, and contract compliance.
- Develop standard operating procedures, process maps, business rules, and controls to minimize operational variation and avoid unnecessary costs.
- Perform freight, capacity, network, routing, and cost analyses to support operational and strategic decisions.
- Investigate service disruptions and cost deviations, facilitate root-cause analyses, and track corrective and preventive actions.
- Support logistics budgeting, accruals, invoice validation, cost allocation, and variance analysis.
- Ensure operational activities comply with company policies, customer requirements, safety standards, and applicable trade and transportation regulations.
- Provide analytical guidance and technical support to other analysts and operational teams.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
- Typically, five or more years of progressive experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, distribution, supply chain, or a related analytical role.
- Strong knowledge of logistics processes, cost drivers, service metrics, and operational controls.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience creating dashboards and management reports; knowledge of Power BI or similar business intelligence tools is preferred. Familiarity with AI is a plus.
- Experience with transportation management and warehouse management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects, analyze complex data, solve problems, and communicate recommendations to operational and business stakeholders.
- Professional proficiency in English; advanced proficiency in Spanish.
- Project management skills are an advantage.
