About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead end-to-end deployment activities for assigned installation projects
  • Develop project schedules, execution plans, and resource coordination strategies
  • Manage installation and subcontractor costs to ensure budget alignment
  • Support subcontractor sourcing, bid reviews, and scope evaluations
  • Track project progress, risks, and deliverables
  • Serve as the primary customer contact throughout project execution
  • Communicate project status, timelines, and milestones to customers and leadership
  • Coordinate across Operations, Engineering, Solutions Engineering, and Service
  • Maintain project documentation including schedules, RFIs, change orders, and closeout materials
  • Coordinate equipment startup, commissioning, and system validation
  • Conduct regular site visits to verify installation quality and scope adherence
  • Provide technical guidance and scope clarification to installers and subcontractors
  • Identify and resolve field issues to minimize schedule or cost impacts
  • Ensure turnover from installation to service and support teams
  • Identify, document, and manage change orders and out-of-scope work
  • Support contract adjustments and customer negotiations
  • Monitor project financial performance and support cost forecasting
  • Provide field feedback to Engineering and Product teams
  • Support training initiatives for internal teams and subcontractors
  • Promote and uphold company and site safety standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3–5 years of project management experience in HVAC controls, building automation systems (BAS), mechanical systems, or related commercial construction environments
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, HVAC, or a related technical discipline preferred
  • PMP certification is a plus
  • Understanding of commercial HVAC systems, controls, and installation practices
  • Familiarity with BAS/DDC controls and low-voltage electrical systems
  • Ability to read construction drawings, wiring diagrams, and project specifications
  • Strong communication and customer relationship management skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Comfortable working independently in fast-paced field environments
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10–20% domestically
  • Flexibility for occasional after-hours support, commissioning activities, and limited travel
