About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with executives and leaders to align people strategies with business objectives
- Advise on organizational design, workforce planning, leadership effectiveness, talent management, succession planning, and change leadership
- Develop business-focused HR consultation and solutions
- Use workforce analytics, talent insights, and business metrics to identify trends, talent gaps, and organizational effectiveness opportunities
- Coach leaders on performance management, feedback, employee development, and accountability
- Lead talent reviews, succession planning, leadership development, and capability-building processes
- Address employee concerns and resolve workplace issues fairly and consistently
- Guide employee relations matters and conduct objective workplace investigations
- Lead organizational initiatives and coach leaders and employees through transitions
- Coach on career development, leadership effectiveness, compensation-related matters, and individual growth plans
- Define role requirements, develop job descriptions, and align talent, workforce, and compensation strategies
- Design and deliver HR training, leadership development programs, and employee education initiatives
- Develop communication strategies and influence plans for organizational initiatives
- Lead and contribute to enterprise-wide HR projects, strategic initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of related experience
- 6+ years’ experience in a leadership role, preferred
- Expertise with concepts, practices, and procedures within HR body of knowledge, including state and federal employment law
- PHR or SPHR or equivalent certification preferred
- Excellent leadership, communication, consultative, partnership, team building, influencing, problem-solving, project management, and time management skills
- Demonstrated experience communicating and building relationships with all levels of employees and leaders
- Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, decision-making abilities, and sound judgment
- Ability to maintain a reputation as a trusted resource for advice and guidance
- Self-directed and comfortable working with ambiguity and uncertainty
- Ethical and confidential approach to handling sensitive HR matters
- Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously
- Advanced skills in MS Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Candidates must reside in the South Bend-Mishawaka region or Greater Indianapolis region
