About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the sales team in all technical aspects of the sales process, including presentations, demos, proof of value, pilots, technical workshops, and technical account management
Collaborate closely with Field and Inside Sales, Partners, Product Management, and Engineering
Act as a conduit for technical requirements to and from EDB and clients
Interact regularly with customers, prospects, and partners, driving technical discussions to support regional sales
Provide EDB technical expertise to existing customers and business partners to solve business problems and grow subscription and services business
Provide subject matter expertise to help achieve planned sales targets
Work with EDB Professional Services to build statements of work for EDB solution deployments
Assist clients and partners in building training and enablement plans
Serve as the single technical point of contact for partner engagements and liaise with local EDB Sales Engineers
Provide Product Management and Engineering guidance on EDB product usage and performance
Provide competitive product information to Product Management
Coordinate Professional Services deliverables between Delivery, Solution Architect, and customer teams
Author solution collateral and describe product features in response to Requests for Proposals

Requirements

What you’ll need

Polish speaking; ideally based in Poland
Ability to drive database-related pain-point discussions at CXO level and guide adoption of EDB Postgres
Ability to support strategic sales motions from a technical perspective
At least 4 to 5 years of direct customer-facing experience within the past 8–10 years
Experience delivering technical product presentations and demonstrating technical products and feature sets
Ability to conduct product proof-of-concepts from requirements gathering through objectives and success criteria
Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, EDB Postgres, or Oracle databases, including High Availability, upgrades/patching, scalability, performance, and security
Relational database experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server; active use or administration of such databases
Understanding of NoSQL and unstructured data store concepts
Knowledge of SQL, SQL query tuning and debugging, and DB server tuning and debugging
Basic to intermediate Linux system administration, software installation, and software troubleshooting experience
Good communication skills in English
Willingness to travel and spend time in the field with customers, partners, and system integrators
