About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own end-to-end benefits administration, including vendor management, annual renewals, open enrollment, carrier feeds, invoice reconciliation, and employee support
  • Lead administration of FMLA, ADA, COBRA, and applicable state leave programs
  • Monitor multi-state employment compliance and implement regulatory updates
  • Oversee I-9 administration, ACA reporting, required documentation, policy administration, audits, and mandatory training completion
  • Assist with payroll operations for exempt and non-exempt employees across multiple states
  • Support employment-based immigration cases with outside counsel
  • Partner with the People Operations Generalist to maintain HRIS data integrity, file feeds, deductions, and benefits administration
  • Advise leaders and employees on benefits, leave, policies, and employment compliance
  • Improve People Operations processes, reduce risk, and create scalable solutions
  • Serve as operational backup to the Senior Director of People and support key People initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience with significant ownership of benefits administration, leave management, and HR compliance
  • Strong expertise in multi-state employment laws, including FMLA, ACA, COBRA, I-9 compliance, and state leave regulations
  • Experience administering payroll, benefits programs, and employment-based immigration in partnership with external vendors and legal counsel
  • Advanced experience with ADP Workforce Now or a comparable HRIS
  • SHRM-CP/SCP, CEBS, or related HR certification preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred
  • Ability to manage sensitive employee situations with empathy and sound judgment
  • Clear and confident communication of complex regulations to leaders and employees
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with shifting priorities
  • Highest standards of confidentiality, integrity, and accountability
