About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Expand the client base within an assigned territory
- Drive new business with school districts and grow existing accounts through cross-sell across TestHound, Evaluation, and Pathways
- Build relationships with district decision-makers, including superintendents, assessment and accountability directors, CTE and counseling directors, and HR and talent leaders
- Understand customers' needs and build productive long-lasting relationships
- Meet or exceed personal and team sales targets
- Maintain an accurate pipeline and forecast in Salesforce
- Conduct customer demonstrations for assigned products
- Assist with RFP responses
- Use AI to research accounts and create targeted messaging and presentations aligned to customer needs
- Generate leads and follow up on sales leads
- Attend meetings, sales events, and training
- Represent Education Advanced at state and national education conferences, including booth staffing and customer events
- Partner with Customer Success and Implementation for smooth handoffs to new customers, and with Marketing on territory campaigns
- Track daily sales activities
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of K-12 or EdTech SaaS sales experience with a proven record of meeting or exceeding quota
- 5+ years of professional experience in K-12 education preferred
- Understanding of how districts buy, including budget cycles, funding sources such as Title I and Perkins V, cooperative purchasing, procurement, and board approval
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Impeccable organizational skills
- Self-motivated and self-directed
- Ability and desire to adapt and acquire the skillset needed to meet the demands of our rapidly growing company
- Analysis and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Reliable internet connection and a dedicated home work space
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel 1-3 times per month
- Understanding of K-12 education solutions
- Experience delivering web-conference and in-person presentations
- Experience with AI tools and sales tools such as HubSpot and Consensus
