About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own search acquisition strategy and performance roadmap across paid, organic, and AI search
  • Serve as day-to-day search owner and strategic lead
  • Partner with web and content stakeholders on visibility, intent coverage, and landing-page relevance
  • Align search plans with paid media, organic, and owned-channel strategies
  • Build performance narratives, forecasts, and priorities for leadership
  • Own EF’s AI search and discovery strategy across ChatGPT Search, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, Perplexity, and Microsoft Copilot
  • Evaluate platform experiences, user journeys, competitive activity, and advertising products
  • Establish measurement for AI-search visibility, referrals, engagement, conversions, and lead quality using Google Search Console, GA4, and monitoring platforms
  • Build and own a test roadmap for paid opportunities in AI search
  • Manage, review, and optimize Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising accounts across EF brands
  • Own campaign structure, targeting, audience development, and keyword strategy
  • Manage bids, budget caps, impression share, Quality Score, and efficiency and growth metrics
  • Execute campaign and feature opportunities including keyword expansion, match strategy, audience development, and testing
  • Partner with web, UX, analytics, and creative teams to improve search-traffic conversion
  • Own continuous CRO practice, including landing-page testing plans, hypotheses, test design, and performance readouts
  • Use search queries, audience behavior, and on-site analytics to improve content, messaging, UX, and technical performance
  • Deliver regular reporting across paid, organic, and AI search tests and on-site conversion metrics
  • Manage timelines, testing calendars, and stakeholder communications

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6+ years of experience owning and executing paid-search campaigns in Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising
  • Hands-on experience evaluating and testing AI search and discovery experiences, including ChatGPT Search, Google AI Overviews or AI Mode, Perplexity, or Microsoft Copilot
  • Experience using AI-driven paid-search capabilities, such as Performance Max, Smart Bidding, and platform automation
  • Experience managing moderate- to large-scale paid-search accounts focused on conversions and revenue outcomes
  • Strong track record of CRO and landing-page improvement through structured testing and iteration
  • Experience partnering with or influencing SEO strategy, including technical, content, and on-page optimization
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort using data to diagnose performance and prioritize opportunities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Comfort working in a test-and-learn environment with clear hypotheses, measurement plans, and readouts
  • Excellent organizational, project-management, and time-management skills
  • Adaptability and effectiveness in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Google Ads or Microsoft Advertising certifications are a bonus
  • Experience with AI-search visibility measurement, generative-engine optimization, or paid advertising pilots in AI-driven discovery environments is a bonus
