About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual group financial results in accordance with IFRS
  • Produce statutory financial statements for group entities
  • Ensure timely and compliant regulatory submissions
  • Liaise with external advisors to validate disclosures and accounting treatments
  • Maintain and enforce the Group Accounting Policy Framework
  • Assess new IFRS standards and lead policy implementation and communication
  • Provide technical accounting guidance to finance and operational teams
  • Act as primary contact for external auditors during interim and year-end audits
  • Respond to audit requests and support smooth audit processes
  • Review and strengthen the control environment for audit readiness
  • Oversee intercompany reconciliations and maintain the intercompany matrix
  • Review balance sheet reconciliations and escalate aged or at-risk items
  • Collaborate with FP&A on management reporting, forecasting, and narrative commentary
  • Provide technical accounting insight to commercial and operational teams
  • Oversee group-level reporting during a 12-month maternity cover period

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification
  • Experience in financial reporting, group consolidation, audit, or technical accounting
  • Strong working knowledge of IFRS
  • Experience with ERP systems (advantageous)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational ability
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
