About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage, maintain and optimise the AWS cloud environment
Build automation tools and streamline infrastructure management and deployment processes
Implement security best practices, monitor vulnerabilities and ensure compliance standards
Design and maintain highly available systems
Identify opportunities to improve performance and minimise downtime
Use monitoring tools, including Grafana, to investigate and resolve infrastructure issues
Support and manage containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes
Partner with Development teams to design and implement infrastructure solutions
Explore emerging technologies, optimise infrastructure costs and contribute to platform improvements

Requirements

What you’ll need

2+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Cloud Engineering or a similar role
Strong hands-on experience with AWS, including deploying, managing and optimising cloud infrastructure
Experience with scripting, automation and DevOps practices
Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including load balancing, firewalls and network security
Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting tools, ideally Grafana
Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems
Strong understanding of infrastructure security, reliability and scalability
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to take ownership of technical challenges
Collaborative mindset and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly
Experience with other cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP is nice to have
Relevant cloud certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, are nice to have
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline is not essential
