About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide technical and organizational leadership for an agile development team
  • Actively contribute to software development through hands-on coding, code reviews, and architectural decisions
  • Take responsibility for code quality, maintainability, and the ongoing development of software solutions
  • Plan and manage development projects in close coordination with Product Management and executive leadership
  • Support the team’s professional development through coaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing
  • Introduce and ensure the use of modern development standards, tools, and processes, such as CI/CD and automated testing
  • Serve as an interface to other IT departments and external partners

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in software development, ideally with initial leadership experience
  • Strong commitment to quality and experience with code reviews and software architecture
  • Excellent knowledge of Java and an IDE such as Eclipse, as well as Spring Boot, REST services, microservices, PostgreSQL, Hibernate, and Elasticsearch
  • Knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MVC frameworks is an advantage
  • Experience with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban
  • Strong communication skills, team spirit, and a high level of self-motivation
  • Very good German and English skills
