About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver day-to-day people partnering support across all Ekco business units
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for managers and employees
  • Manage and triage the shared People Team inbox
  • Resolve or route queries concerning leave and absence, employment documents, payroll and benefits, onboarding/offboarding, systems changes, policies and administration
  • Support culture, engagement and talent management initiatives, including Ekco Eats and Ekcolympics
  • Advise managers on probation, absence and basic employee relations queries
  • Escalate complex casework and legal acknowledgements appropriately
  • Process HiBob organisational changes and maintain data hygiene, audit readiness and reporting accuracy
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to align job descriptions, skills requirements and certifications
  • Support onboarding/offboarding administration and liaise with the internal support team
  • Translate skills and capability frameworks into personal development plans and individual performance goals
  • Support the evolution of the annual performance cycle into continuous performance management
  • Champion AI adoption and continuous learning
  • Manage learning systems and cadence, including HiBob, Pluralsight and internally built tools
  • Track and report certifications, courses and development activity
  • Own the group-wide cadence of technical certifications and flag gaps to business unit leaders
  • Manage and utilise L&D budgets
  • Design and support internal leadership and high-performance training programmes
  • Feed evolving skills and certification needs into career family and role design
  • Report L&D and performance metrics to People leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 3–4 years' experience in a People Partner, HR Business Partner or HR generalist role
  • Ideally experience within a multi-region technology company
  • Prior exposure to Learning & Development, including training programmes, certifications or skills frameworks
  • Relevant HR qualification, e.g. CIPD or equivalent
  • Comfortable supporting multiple sites and business units
  • Experience working from a shared People Team inbox while balancing competing priorities
  • Strong HRIS experience; HiBob ideal
  • Understanding of Microsoft Learn and certification pathways is beneficial
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder management across multiple business units
  • High understanding of confidentiality and data privacy
  • Enthusiasm for AI adoption and emerging learning technologies
  • Evidence of continuous professional development in learning and development, talent management or performance management practice
  • Passion for building learning cultures and helping people grow
  • Commercial awareness and ability to connect skills development to business strategy
  • Organised and able to balance hands-on people partnering support with longer-term L&D projects
  • Collaborative group-wide mindset and comfort working across diverse business units and cultures
