About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build production agents and expand their capabilities through prompts, tool use, orchestration, new models and MCP integrations
Design and operate reliable backend systems for asynchronous creative generation and long-running tasks
Ensure strong performance, observability, scalability and security of backend systems
Develop shared evaluations and live quality monitoring, including model-based assessment of image and video outputs
Own features end to end, from identifying user needs and prototyping to shipping across the stack and supporting features in production
Collaborate with product, design and engineering
Shape agent capabilities and user experiences across ElevenCreative
Improve and operate the live creative agent product

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong backend engineering skills
Experience operating production systems
Strong fundamentals in APIs, cloud infrastructure, storage and asynchronous processing
Hands-on experience developing agents, including prompts, tools, execution logic and evaluations
Understanding of reliable and secure agent operation
Evidence of independent, end-to-end ownership
Confidence working across the stack, including frontend delivery when needed
Good product judgement and clear communication
Familiarity with HTTP, WebSockets and asynchronous workers is helpful
Experience with multimodal generation, creative editors, MCP, or products in a small, fast-moving team is particularly valuable
Evidence of exceptional engineering through products shipped, difficult problems solved and systems owned
