About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build the platform used by every ElevenLabs team
Own infrastructure supporting GPU clusters that train and serve AI models and the cloud platform used by product teams
Work directly with research, product, security and safety engineers
Launch new infrastructure and scale it as team needs grow
Lead migrations and platform improvements to improve reliability, security and cost efficiency
Run and scale Kubernetes clusters, including GPU clusters for inference and training, across cloud and on-premises environments
Set up compute, networking, permissions and access for other teams
Host and operate data systems used by product teams
Build tooling, automations and services that make infrastructure self-serve, mainly in Python
Lead large efforts such as cluster builds and cloud migrations end to end

Requirements

What you’ll need

Deep, hands-on experience running Kubernetes in production at scale
Strong experience with GCP, including designing, building and migrating cloud infrastructure end to end as an individual contributor
Strong Python skills and a habit of solving infrastructure problems with code and automation
Experience operating stateful systems, including databases and Kafka, on behalf of other engineering teams
Solid fundamentals in infrastructure as code, security and permissions
Pragmatism to prioritise what matters in a fast-moving environment
Required current country of residence for application

Bonus: experience with GPU clusters or ML training/inference infrastructure, such as vLLM
