About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build technical knowledge of Contract Administration procedures, systems, contracting language, and product knowledge
  • Understand customers including PBMs, HMOs, and Commercial/Part D payers and their requirements
  • Develop knowledge of healthcare industry trends affecting Lilly contracts and rebates
  • Understand AI/ML tools used in Revenue Defender investigations
  • Build relationships with internal partners including Contract Development, Legal, Government Pricing, Field Account Managers, Gross-to-Net, IT, and Purchase-to-Pay/Treasury
  • Develop customer peer relationships, resolve issues, and identify mutually beneficial opportunities
  • Review preliminary contracts for Contract Administration issues and collaborate on final contract language
  • Manage contracts in the rebate system, including formulary status, rebate percentages, price groups, exhibits, and unique rebate strategies
  • Process rebate-system data to determine payment amounts and produce reports and Customer Payment Packets
  • Reconcile current-quarter payment requests against actual payments, analyze variances, and investigate root causes
  • Route full payments for FRAP approval/signature and follow up to meet payment deadlines
  • Support Revenue Defender by identifying ineligible rebate submissions, contract compliance exceptions, and potential revenue leakage through pharmacy- and NDC-level analysis
  • Document findings and partner on recoupment and corrective action
  • Identify data anomalies and patterns across large transactional data sets
  • Improve people, systems, and processes by identifying, testing, measuring, and codifying best practices
  • Identify and implement process standardization, automation, and AI-enabled analytics improvements
  • Use AI-enabled tools for data validation, trend analysis, payment reconciliation, variance detection, and account profiling
  • Generate and review trend reports and share insights with Brand, Account Management, and Gross-to-Net teams
  • Maintain Payment Packets for internal and external auditors during Annual Audit
  • Participate in initiatives presenting AI-enabled ways of working across the organization
  • Support additional Contract Administration areas, including copay, Commercial and Part D rebate payments, and Revenue Defender, as business needs evolve

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1 year of work experience in pharma rebates, PBM, healthcare finance, or data analytics; alternatively, recent graduates with internship experience and/or coursework in a quantitative field may be considered
  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; Lilly will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization or visas
  • Preferred degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or another analytical field
  • Work experience or coursework demonstrating analytical capabilities
  • Experience with data flow, internal controls and processes, and system connectivity
  • Attention to detail
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled analytics and automation tools such as Revenue Defender
  • Knowledge of pharmacy claim data and related system flows
  • Working knowledge of SQL for querying and analyzing rebate and claims data in a data warehouse environment such as Redshift or SQL Server
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, Power Query, and formula-based reconciliation of large data sets
  • Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence/visualization tools
  • Exposure to automation or scripting tools such as Power Automate or Python
  • Experience with rebate management platforms such as ICyte
  • Familiarity with pharmacy claims data structures such as NDC and NCPDP
  • Ability to identify data anomalies or patterns across large transactional data sets
  • Travel percentage of 0–10%
