Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive innovation, support patients living with cancer, and deliver sustainable growth for Eli Lilly Canada
  • Lead the marketing team and commercial activities across the solid tumor portfolio
  • Deliver integrated customer plans, operational plans, and launch planning for new assets
  • Generate innovative ways to expand reach and create exceptional customer experiences that drive brand uptake and commercial success
  • Align strategic and tactical brand direction with corporate and oncology portfolio strategy
  • Execute customer plans and establish a strong cross-functional collaboration model
  • Gain deep customer insights across patients and healthcare professionals involved in cancer care
  • Develop integrated brand plans based on the Canadian oncology landscape, competitive dynamics, and patient pathways
  • Lead customer and operational planning for pre-NOC and post-NOC activities across concurrent launches
  • Collaborate with Market Access and Pricing & Reimbursement teams on commercial strategy and HTA submissions
  • Partner with Global and Affiliate teams to align strategy and maximize learnings
  • Develop innovative tactics to partner with healthcare professionals
  • Manage commercial brand budgets and P&L for assigned assets
  • Lead commercial thought leader engagement across relevant tumor types in Canada
  • Provide insights and brand assumptions for sales forecasting
  • Build partnerships with patient advocacy groups alongside Medical Affairs and Government Affairs
  • Drive innovative thinking across cross-functional teams
  • Ensure commercial activities comply with the current compliance environment
  • Build long-term plans for assigned assets
  • Coach and mentor brand managers and marketing interns

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University degree required; advanced degree strongly preferred (MBA, MSc, PhD)
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully launching two or more oncology brands, ideally across different tumor sites
  • 10+ years of pharmaceutical/healthcare experience, including 5+ years of marketing experience, preferably in oncology
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent brand launches across different tumor types or therapeutic areas
  • Demonstrated experience in pre-commercialization preparation and launch implementation
  • People management experience
  • Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional teams — sales, medical, market access/reimbursement, and other departments
  • Demonstrated thought leader engagement over time
  • Demonstrated creativity in problem solving and customer solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Bilingual (English/French) strongly preferred
  • Skill and knowledge of digital communications and channels preferred
  • Experience commercializing products in highly competitive therapeutic areas preferred
  • Experience commercializing hospital-based specialty products and knowledge of the oncology landscape preferred
