About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a major Lilly representative for healthcare professionals, providing advanced disease-state and product information
- Facilitate scientific exchange between Lilly and scientific and clinical experts
- Connect scientific experts with Lilly resources such as Discovery Scientists, Outcomes Research, Clinical Development Consultants, and Clinical Research Physicians
- Liaise between Lilly resources, Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Brand teams, and external experts
- Report clinical insights and unanswered customer questions to medical affairs, clinical development, and brand teams
- Maintain technical expertise within a therapeutically aligned hematologic malignancies tumor team
- Engage in continuous learning, attend scientific meetings, and conduct routine literature searches
- Communicate relevant learning with peers
- Support community and academic scientific experts with unsolicited requests for information on late- and early-phase hematologic malignancy agents
- Develop and execute strategic territory plans, prioritize activities, and use territory analytics for customer identification and routing
- Collaborate compliantly with Lilly field roles sharing customers
- Synthesize and communicate actionable customer and clinical insights to internal medical and cross-functional teams
- Cultivate internal networks, collaborate across functions, and contribute to team goals
- Execute the role in compliance with internal and external requirements, procedures, and laws
Requirements
What you’ll need- Advanced degree in health sciences (e.g., PharmD, MD, PhD in a medically related field) required
- 2–3 years of relevant clinical or therapeutic area experience desired
- Master's or bachelor's level degree in health sciences (e.g., BSN, RPh, PA, NP) considered if 5 or more years of clinical, research, or industry experience in the relevant therapeutic area is present
- Valid US driver's license and acceptable driving record required
- Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; Lilly will not provide work authorization or visa sponsorship
- Clinical oncology experience, including experience with physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, or pharmacists working with patients in hospital or outpatient clinical settings
- Ability to use field-based electronic or other communication tools
- Ability to comprehend and communicate large amounts of scientific content clearly and concisely
- Direct experience servicing customer needs for complex information
- Experience working with demanding or difficult clients
- Experience self-managing priorities and multitasking projects
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Advanced presentation and computer skills, with expertise in literature identification and evaluation
- Experience in professional networking with positive, mutually meaningful outcomes
- Familiarity with the academic community and medical research and education processes highly valued
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel overnight up to 60% and work 4–6 weekends per year
