About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct account-based selling to healthcare providers who prescribe and influence treatment for diseases in Lilly’s dermatology portfolio
  • Build relationships with key dermatology customers to increase adoption of new and existing therapies
  • Develop business relationships with state and local advocacy groups, teaching institutions, key influencers, and managed care organizations
  • Serve as a credible expert and resource
  • Develop a strong understanding of the territory and reimbursement landscape
  • Use business insights tools to analyze and adapt to business needs
  • Navigate healthcare accounts and impact key stakeholders to become a trusted partner
  • Listen actively and adapt to customer prompts during calls
  • Learn and apply clinical information, disease states, Lilly’s product portfolio, and the therapeutic marketplace
  • Engage every member of an office or account
  • Promote the entire product portfolio through patient-centered customer dialogues
  • Use Lilly’s selling model to help customers identify appropriate patients
  • Use business analytics resources to meet customer needs and achieve sales goals while following internal policies, procedures, and the PhRMA code
  • Collaborate with field-facing and internal peers to create a coordinated customer experience

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Professional certification or license required to perform in this position if required by a specific state
  • Valid US driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
  • Lilly will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization or visas for this role
  • Two or more years of sales experience after completion of an undergraduate college degree
  • Other work experience following completion of an undergraduate degree, or a graduate degree such as Masters, MBA, or PharmD
  • Demonstrated business ownership, selling/customer experience, and execution/results skills
  • Account-based selling experience
  • Ability to identify and engage staff members in accounts
  • Strong background navigating complex integrated health systems
  • Extensive experience or thorough understanding of specialty pharmacy distribution model
  • Experience selling injectable/infusion molecules in a complex reimbursement environment
  • History of working with multiple cross-functional partners
  • Strong learning agility; self-motivated, team-focused, emotionally intelligent, and influential
  • Must live within 30 miles of the territory boundary
