About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the global Drug Product supply strategy for diagnostic radiotracers supporting development and commercialization of therapeutic medicines
  • Define supply strategy connecting clinical trial design with radiotracer availability, geography, and manufacturing capacity
  • Own capacity planning, network expansion, supply risk and continuity, cost-of-goods, and reliable dose fulfillment across geographies
  • Set the multi-year strategy for expanding global radiotracer manufacturing capacity across CMOs and radiopharmacies
  • Partner with digital and data teams to embed AI-enabled capabilities into supply strategy and governance
  • Establish supply governance and communicate supply status, risks, and mitigation plans to leadership and stakeholders
  • Build strategic relationships with CDDA and Therapeutic Area Business Unit leadership
  • Evaluate radiotracer capacity, regulatory and licensing requirements, transport constraints, and partnership opportunities across geographies
  • Navigate regional regulatory, radioactive material licensing, import/export, and transport requirements
  • Lead and develop supply strategy organization capabilities across sites, geographies, and time zones
  • Identify potential CMOs, manufacturing sites, and radiopharmacies to support demand
  • Define supply agreement business requirements and approve business cases and contract terms with Procurement, Quality, and Legal
  • Own supply risk management and business continuity planning for final Drug Product
  • Develop radiotracer supply budgets, approve supplier invoices, and monitor budget execution and cost-of-goods targets
  • Serve as liaison among CDDA, Therapeutic Area Business Units, Business Development, supply chain management, manufacturing operations, and external sponsors
  • Direct fulfillment of clinical trial and research study dose requests
  • Engage isotope and material suppliers, CDMOs, radiopharmacy networks, CROs, and academic imaging sites
  • Represent Lilly in nuclear medicine trade associations and industry forums

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific or operational business discipline with 10+ years of experience, OR Master’s + 7 years, OR PhD + 5 years
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience, preferably within CMC supply chain, supply planning or manufacturing
  • Solid understanding of GMP manufacturing and regulatory requirements
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, implementation and optimization
  • Ability to build and maintain productive relationships across internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to influence others, negotiate, delegate and affect change as an individual contributor
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Impeccable organizational skills
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel within the USA and worldwide 25% of the time
  • Positron Emission Tomography (PET) drug experience preferred
  • PET drug supply planning experience preferred
  • Experience working with radiopharmaceuticals
  • Previous direct or indirect leadership experience preferred
  • Project management, including budgeting, forecasting, resource allocation and timeline management helpful
  • Creative thinking and ability to cultivate innovation
  • Ability to lead adoption of AI or data-driven approaches in supply chain, manufacturing, or operations with sound judgment on appropriate use and validation
