About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead product strategy and development for the Data Ingest domain
- Build tooling that brings rostering, EL program, and assessment data from varied systems into the platform
- Reimagine technically complex, high-stakes data pipelines and ensure ingested data powers downstream workflows
- Report to the VP of Product and partner daily with Engineering and Data Operations
- Build an evidence-grounded understanding of the data ingest ecosystem, data operations, and downstream workflows
- Conduct user research, data analysis, problem framing, and enablement
- Take accountability for product success from idea to launch
- Set learning objectives, test hypotheses, and define product increments
- Lead execution by managing outcomes, risks, and dependencies
- Drive go-to-market delivery, internal training, and release adoption
- Shape product pitches and articulate opportunities in the problem space
- Build senior stakeholder alignment and communicate tradeoffs
- Identify future data ingest investments and transform ambiguous technical or organizational problems into successful outcomes
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5–8 years relevant experience, including at least 3 years in product management
- Related experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or analytics welcome
- Experience with ETL data pipelines, data mapping and transformation
- Comfort troubleshooting or understanding how data flows affect downstream users
- Demonstrated success leading highly technical ETL teams
- Genuine interest in technical concepts, systems impact, and tradeoffs
- Evidence-driven and curious; able to conduct user discovery and run data analyses
- Experience using AI tools for data analysis, prototyping, or documentation
- Effectiveness in cross-functional teams with Product, Engineering, and Data Operations
- Experience leading and managing senior cross-functional stakeholders
- Ability to articulate the rationale behind decisions and translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Organized, dependable, and able to deliver under operational pressure
- Strong learning orientation and ability to apply feedback quickly
- Experience querying data with SQL or similar is a plus
- Basic data modeling familiarity is a plus
- Experience with SIS data, OneRoster or similar interoperability standards, Clever, or ClassLink is a plus
- Exposure to internal tooling in enterprise B2B SaaS is a plus
- Familiarity with product discovery methods is a plus
