About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the end-to-end sales process for services offered to new clinical research site clients
- Identify prospective clients through outbound outreach and qualify inbound leads
- Conduct call and email prospecting for research institutions meeting management criteria
- Manage assigned company outreach and daily task lists in Salesforce
- Meet or exceed quotas for executed contracts with clinical research institutions
- Customize and deliver site-focused presentations to prospective clients
- Lead strategy meetings with internal team members
- Develop and manage proposals across site service lines
- Develop and deliver contracts to prospective clients
- Facilitate education and transition of signed clients to the appropriate operations department for onboarding
- Provide accurate and timely communication and customer service to prospective and current clients
- Keep Salesforce tasks, leads, and opportunities updated in real time with complete notes and dates
- Assist with clinical research institution-focused conferences
- Train new team members in site sales, data input, and organization
- Support completion of internal deliverables according to project timelines
- Create and revise internal guidance documents
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, marketing, healthcare, or related discipline
- Minimum two (2) years of professional experience in sales, relationship management and/or business development
- Experience in clinical research industry is preferred
- Ability to meet individual goals while working in a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong negotiating and influencing skills
- Ability to manage multi-channel sales activities in a fast-paced and dynamic company
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional groups/teams
- Proactive and timely follow-up skills
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Proven track record of building and maintaining effective professional relationships
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Familiarity with the clinical research industry and associated services/products is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), CRM systems such as Salesforce, and database applications
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends
- Ability to travel approximately 20%
- Ability to work at a desk using a computer for prolonged periods
- Ability to perform repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements
- Ability to communicate via email, telephone, chat, webcam, MS Teams, or Zoom
- Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 20 pounds
