About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own organic search strategy for a portfolio of clients
  • Understand each client’s goals, requirements, market position, and opportunities
  • Plan and ensure execution of GEO strategies
  • Translate client understanding into clear programmes of work
  • Brief Content and Writing teams and keep work focused on client outcomes
  • Decide when to maintain or pivot established strategies and explain the reasoning to clients
  • Join client calls to present strategy, explain performance, and recommend courses of action
  • Use proprietary AI-search technology to identify the right work for clients
  • Provide feedback on tooling performance and help improve it
  • Monitor client performance and proactively drive optimizations
  • Identify underperforming pages, competitor movements, and AI-engine citation changes
  • Support the sales team with strategic data and analysis for prospective clients
  • Conduct minor content updates and analysis of existing pages
  • Handle ad hoc client queries and requests
  • Perform full-site technical SEO audits, CRO audits, and similar strategic work
  • Help improve the strategic playbook, tooling, and processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 4–5 years of experience in SEO, organic search strategy, or a similar client-facing strategic role
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Critical eye for data and processes
  • Confidence making clear recommendations from imperfect data
  • Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar B2B and SaaS topics
  • Ability to translate commercial goals into an effective search-work programme
  • Hands-on experience with technical SEO audits and CRO is a strong advantage
  • Working understanding of GEO
  • Genuine curiosity about how AI search works
  • Strong fundamental understanding of organic search
  • Eagerness to learn and willingness to approach problems differently
  • Ability to move quickly
  • Strong critical thinking
  • Ability to identify process or system gaps and drive improvements
  • Strong communication skills
  • Confidence using Basecamp, Google Meet, Slack, email, and video calls
  • Availability for meetings between 9am–5pm GMT, with occasional calls outside these times
  • Confident, evidence-led communication
  • Receptiveness to feedback and solutions-oriented approach
  • High self-awareness and strong people skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive work ethic
  • Ability to see projects through to completion
