About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, test, maintain, and document complex software applications and systems
Analyze business and technical requirements and recommend efficient programming solutions
Investigate system enhancements, application redesigns, and modernization opportunities
Create and maintain program specifications, workflows, and technical documentation
Develop and manage complex data structures, file relationships, and system integrations
Troubleshoot and resolve advanced software and system issues
Collaborate with users, analysts, and technical teams to support project objectives
Support software testing, implementation, and deployment activities
Prepare operating procedures and technical documentation for developed applications
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior programmers and technical staff

Requirements

What you’ll need

Active Secret Security Clearance (required)
Strong experience in software development, programming, and system support
Experience analyzing requirements and translating them into technical solutions
Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices
Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in both independent and team environments
Preferred: Experience supporting government, defense, engineering, logistics, or enterprise technology environments
Preferred: Familiarity with software modernization, system integration, and database technologies
Preferred: Experience leading technical efforts or mentoring development teams
Preferred: Knowledge of secure software development practices
Position contingent upon ELYON’s receipt of contract award, Government acceptance of the proposed candidate, completion of required onboarding, and continued contract funding
