About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead day-to-day project operations and ensure successful contract performance
Serve as the primary liaison between program stakeholders, leadership, and project teams
Manage project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and performance metrics
Monitor project risks, issues, and dependencies and implement mitigation strategies
Oversee staffing, resource allocation, onboarding, and workforce planning activities
Prepare and present status reports, executive briefings, and program updates
Ensure compliance with contract requirements, federal regulations, and organizational policies
Coordinate activities across technical, functional, and operational teams
Track project budgets and support financial management activities as required
Promote continuous process improvement and operational excellence
Support quality assurance efforts and ensure deliverables meet established standards
Foster strong customer relationships and maintain effective communication with key stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Project Management, or a related field
Experience with VA systems, processes, and organizational structure
Experience managing healthcare, IT modernization, digital transformation, or clinical support programs within the VA
7–10 years of project management experience, including experience supporting federal government programs
At least 3 years of experience managing VA programs or contracts
Experience managing teams in a federal contracting environment
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, risk management, and performance management
Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and collaboration tools
Must be able to obtain and maintain any required federal background investigation or VA clearance
U.S. Citizenship required
