Key responsibilities & impact

Plan and manage one or more projects of varying complexity, priority, and risk
Design and develop business solutions across departments
Facilitate cross-functional and cross-organizational teams in a matrix-managed environment
Manage project communications, schedules, finances, issues, risks, and changes
Initiate corrective actions to ensure deliverables are on time, within budget, and meet quality standards
Select, develop, motivate, appraise, and make salary recommendations for direct-report project managers
Assist project managers with prioritization, issue resolution, management presentations, status reporting, and communications reviews
Build relationships with business leaders and maximize project productivity through resource assignments, training, monitoring, and coaching
Present proposals, reports, and findings to clients
Recruit, assign, direct, and evaluate employees and oversee staff competence development
Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand to assess project feasibility
Confer with management, production, and marketing staff on project specifications and procedures
Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates
Direct, review, and approve product designs and changes
Consult or negotiate with clients to prepare project specifications

Requirements

What you’ll need

Seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures
Ability to work independently and manage one’s time
Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs and techniques for maximizing effective manufacture and distribution of goods
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods
Knowledge of computer software such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and Visio
Experience gathering business requirements
Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field
5–7 years' experience aligned to the selected title
PMI or PMP certification preferred
