About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create, edit, and maintain technical manuals, reports, procedures, proposals, guides, and supporting documentation
  • Gather and verify information from technical documents, subject matter experts, specifications, and other source materials
  • Organize and present content according to established standards for clarity, consistency, accuracy, and style
  • Review and update documentation to reflect process, system, or procedural changes
  • Maintain document version control and revision histories
  • Develop and incorporate charts, diagrams, illustrations, and other visual aids
  • Assist with document formatting, publication, distribution, and document management
  • Collaborate with technical and operational teams to keep documentation current and accurate
  • Support development of procedural, operational, and training-related materials
  • Work in a hybrid arrangement with onsite and remote support
  • Travel occasionally based on project needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Active Secret Security Clearance required
  • Strong technical writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and in an organized manner
  • Experience working with technical documentation, specifications, diagrams, or procedural materials
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and documentation management tools
  • Experience supporting government, defense, engineering, manufacturing, or technical environments
  • Familiarity with technical drawings, schematics, specifications, or operational procedures
  • Experience creating user guides, standard operating procedures (SOPs), or training materials
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines
  • Position contingent upon contract award, Government acceptance of the proposed candidate, completion of required onboarding, and continued contract funding
