About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own each deployment end to end, from signed contract to a live, working installation at the customer site.
  • Define milestones, sequence dependencies, track status, and surface risks and blockers early.
  • Coordinate sales, solution engineering, office/logistics, and third-party delivery partners.
  • Drive a clear, complete statement of work before each deployment and resolve ambiguous scope.
  • Track solution engineers through implementation against the statement of work.
  • Translate customer requirements and site constraints into a concrete deployment plan.
  • Coordinate delivery windows, pickup, destination readiness, installation scheduling, returns, and de-installations.
  • Confirm warehouse readiness, including staging, configuration, and health checks before shipping.
  • Serve as the customer-facing point of contact during rollout; communicate timelines and manage change requests.
  • Run deployment kickoffs and post-deployment reviews; capture lessons and improve the playbook.
  • Report deployment status and upcoming installation pipeline to the founding team.
  • Build and maintain deployment playbooks, checklists, tracking systems, and tooling for deployment status, asset location, and readiness.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Hungry, startup mindset above all: thrives in ambiguity, moves fast, takes extreme ownership, does what it takes to make each install land.
  • 3+ years in project management, implementation/deployment management, technical program management, or field-services coordination, ideally at a startup, hardware, or solutions company.
  • Proven ability to run multi-stakeholder projects on a schedule and hold others accountable without direct authority.
  • Comfortable reading and reasoning about a technical scope of work; talks credibly with solution engineers.
  • Strong coordination and communication across internal teams, external partners, and customers.
  • Highly organized and self-directed; builds process from scratch.
  • Calm under pressure; biased toward closing gaps and driving at-risk deployments to resolution.
  • Experience deploying hardware or physical installations into venues or field sites (nice-to-have).
  • Familiarity with project/deployment tracking tools and a CRM, e.g. HubSpot (nice-to-have).
  • Background in logistics, shipping, or warehouse operations (nice-to-have).
  • PMP or similar credential (nice-to-have; not required).
