About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work in EMC’s corporate actuarial team
  • Collaborate with the Actuarial Operations/Predictive Analytics team on projects
  • Perform basic analysis for Actuarial Operations/Predictive Analytics teams
  • Gather information for analysis
  • Organize data into spreadsheets and databases
  • Communicate analysis results, project updates, and key findings to actuarial leaders
  • Develop understanding of insurance operations, statistical analysis, data management and computer programming

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, computer science or related major
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher
  • Knowledge of statistics and probability
  • Strong analytical, investigation, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Power BI preferred
  • Familiarity with R, SAS, SQL &/or Python preferred
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
