About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify target customers, develop and follow up on sales leads, maintain ongoing client relationships, support Company sales forecasting, and serve as a direct liaison with customers
  • Visit client operating facilities and active project locations
  • Pursue new business opportunities and maintain relationships with established customers
  • Coordinate with Company operations regarding active projects and future opportunities
  • Meet regularly with industrial and petrochemical clients to develop, establish, and maintain relationships with decision-makers
  • Promote and pursue small-cap and large-cap projects, turnarounds, and maintenance services across the country
  • Represent the Company at trade shows, lunch-and-learns, client meetings, and relationship-building activities
  • Solicit client feedback, maintain client interaction, and develop market knowledge
  • Provide marketing materials and follow up on sales inquiries, proposals, and potential opportunities
  • Respond to client questions and obtain information needed to advance opportunities and support new-work pursuits
  • Collaborate with management and departments on scope requirements, commercial considerations, scheduling needs, and project-specific requirements
  • Maintain client relationships throughout the project lifecycle and coordinate resolution of customer concerns
  • Participate in commercial discussions and negotiations within established authority
  • Maintain accurate business development and sales records, reports, forecasts, customer tracking, sales database information, and key-contact details

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant business development experience is required, with 3–10 years preferred, ideally within the petrochemical, chemical, refining, or related industrial sectors
  • Strong understanding of mechanical contracting services and technical applications within the industrial market
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership, initiative, proactive decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Must be willing and able to travel as needed to visit client operating facilities, follow up on business opportunities, attend industry events, and visit active project locations
  • Ability to develop relationships and work collaboratively with clients, management, and team operations
