About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver effective, efficient, and timely facility maintenance services to multiple customers within an assigned geographic territory
  • Travel to various customer sites using a company vehicle to maintain commercial properties
  • Perform preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and general service for buildings, equipment, and grounds
  • Perform minor plumbing maintenance, including repairing and unclogging toilets and urinals and maintaining fixtures, valves, and sensors
  • Perform routine painting, carpentry, wall, floor, door, and general maintenance work
  • Perform minor electrical maintenance permitted under state law, including repairing or replacing fixtures, switches, outlets, bulbs, ballasts, and sockets
  • Complete preventative maintenance and repairs according to work orders, company procedures, regulations, and safety standards
  • Complete service and asset inspections
  • Access and complete work orders using tablets and smartphones
  • Create and submit service reports and quality inspection images and reports
  • Submit timesheets, expense reports, and purchase card logs
  • Obtain materials and supplies needed for assigned tasks
  • Build positive customer relationships and maintain timely communication with customers and internal support teams
  • Complete required safety and compliance training and attend weekly safety meetings
  • Provide estimates for larger projects and services needed by onsite customers
  • Complete other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • HS diploma or degree/certification, or equivalent professional experience in Landscaping, Trades, or Specialty Floor Care preferred
  • Two to five years of general maintenance experience, including minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
  • Related work experience in one or more building trades
  • Commercial services background highly preferred
  • Must possess applicable certifications and licenses
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing
  • Ability to read and comprehend safety policies, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to present information in individual and small group situations
  • Ability to use handheld devices and business systems or document management database software
  • Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook proficiency
  • Knowledge of applicable building-operation, work-safety, and governmental regulations
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and Company Safety policies
  • Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC, plumbing, and electrical building systems
  • Ability to travel locally between properties daily
  • Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to drive a company vehicle daily
  • Ability to use required safety equipment and comply with OSHA lock-out/tag-out and HAZCOM guidelines
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and remain calm in front of customers
